How you can activate and startup my MTN Shabab?

To startup your MTN Shabab, you can immediately contact anyone on your first outgoing call, and then you will receive automatically SMS contains your MTN Shabab's number. Your SIM card is already Pre-charged with 600 units and 45 days validity period distributed as following:

• MTN Shabab Package(150 units) includes 10 local SMS and other services
• 450 units balance enable you to make outgoing local and overseas calls besides enjoying all MTN Shabab line's services

If your SMS balance was expended, you can use your main balance to send SMSs, MMSs and Internet from Shabab Package according to common tariff. Once you do your first outgoing call, you will receive SMS contains your line number and instructions to activate the caller ID service.

You can convert your Shabab line to a prepaid line by using *111# menu, the option's cost is 200 units and a usage of 30 days minimum of MTN Shabab line, including canceling MMS, GPRS and SMS accounts' offers when MTN Shabab line is converted.

Also you can convert your Shabab line to prepaid one, through the *111# menu for free only if you have more than 600 units at your balance.

What are the processes of MTN Shabab line?

• The main balance validity period (according to the card's category) but when you do your first call the validity period will be 90 days.
• Grace period (receiving incoming calls only) is 5 days, deactivation period is 30 days and the validity period for MTN Shabab line is 45 days recharge only with 600 units card.

Validity Period

MTN Shabab validity period is determined according to the validity of main balance. If MTN Shabab was recharged with 600 units, your validity period will be 90 days for the main balance and 45 days for the dedicated accounts.

If MTN Shabab was recharged with 300 units, your validity period will be 30 days for the main balance and the dedicated accounts

If you recharged by another card category, then the validity period will be added to the main balance's validity.

The Grace Period

Your MTN Shabab will enter the grace period when its validity period of the main balance expended and it was not recharged. You can only receive incoming calls and SMSs during the grace period. You can recharge your main balance during the grace period by adding new units to remaining units in your balance, also you can get MTN Shabab's new services case you recharge your main balance by 600 units card.

Deactivation Period

In case you didn't recharge your line during the grace period (5 days), your line will enter the deactivation period and all units will be deactivated until you reactivate your line. You can reactivate your MTN Shabab line during 30 days from expiry date of grace period by visiting one of MTN's customer care services, or by using any of MTN's recharge cards' categories starting from 200 units, or by using electronic recharge or the Real Estate bank's ATM recharge service.

Is it possible to recharge MTN Shabab line?

You can recharge your line by using the electronic recharge service, or calling on 1818, or By dialing *110* code to add next to the code recharge card's password adding to it the symbol # then press the call button.

To earn more units and to extend validity period, you can charge MTN Shabab line by using any recharging cards of prepaid lines, new units will be added to your balance while the validity of your line will be added to the previous validity date according to the category of the used charging card.

You can transform units from MTN Shabab line to another MTN Shabab line by using "Share unit's service" from MTN.

What is MTN Shabab's Tariff?

MTN Shabab's tariff is as same as MTN pre-paid's tariff, except for the outgoing calls charged as bellow:

Mobile to Mobile = 10 units/minute

Mobile to mobile during happy Fridays and permanent reduction hours from 12 am till 9 a.m = 5 units/minute

Mobile to landline = 10 units/minute

Mobile to landline during Happy Fridays and permanent reduction hours from 12 am till 9 am = 5 units/minute

Local SMS cost is 4 units. After the expiry of local SMS's balance

Local MMS cost is 7 units. After the expiry of multimedia balance

The GPRS cost after the expiry of the main balance is 1 unit/30KB
