Along the beginning of 2010 FIFA World Cup Quarter-Finals
The South African Buskaid Ensemble performs in concert at MTN Fan Park
In Cooperation with the Governorate of Damascus, MTN presents a special musical concert of the Syrian Band “Fatet Le’ebet”, within the programme of music on the road, at MTN Fan Park at Damascus old fairground, on 2nd of July 2010, at 8 P.M.
MTN also presents for the first time in Syria, the South AfricanBuskaid Soweto String Ensemble performing on Saturday, 3rd of July 2010, at 8 P.M., at MTN Fan Parks at Damascus old fairground. The band was established in 1992, by British viola player, Rosemary Nalden, responding to a BBC program that highlighted the difficulties that face young talented musicians in South Africa’s community.
Miss. Nour Al Khatib, MTN’s Communication Manager and responsible of MTN Fan Parks project, said: “Our musical programmes that we presented since MTN Fan Parks launch till today were distinguished by brilliant musical bands that cooperated with us performing their musical works at MTN Fan Park. We touched the audience interaction with the musical activities that were presented before the games that are daily displayed via the giant LED screens in all MTN Fan Parks”. She added: “MTN Fan Parks witness crowded traffic and warm social environment, the things we are very proud to offer and to fulfill this project”.
MTN Fan Parks at Damascus old fairground presented many musical concerts like Itar Shame’e band, Kelna Sawa band and Lena Chamamian. It will continue welcoming 2010 FIFA World Cup`s fans till 11th of July 2010 at Damascus old fairground, Al Jundi al Majhoul square, Al Tala’e Park in Mezzah, Al Zahera Park and Skiland in Damascus. Also in Saad Alla al Jaberi square, Shahbaa mall and Aleppo citadel in Aleppo, Al Awqaf square in Latakia and Al Mahata square in Homs.
