MTN Syria inaugurates Habib Hasoun High School’s football field in Latakia
| As part of MTN’s 21 days of Y’ello Care programme, MTN Syria renovated the football field of Habib Hasoun high school at Ain Al Teneh village –Latakia province’s rural. The renovation took place in the presence of Discover Syria Rally’s participants, the school`s students, people of Ain Al Teneh, and MTN’s employees. |

MTN has taken this year its Sports axis through ‘21 days of Y`ello care!’ to be in line with its official sponsorship of 2010 FIFA World Cup to be held in South Africa, where MTN Group in all operating countries work on a unified programme based on health, education and sports.
Mr. Anas Al Khani, MTN's Corporate Affairs Director, said: "We renew Habib Hassoun High school football field to encourage students to practice sports, particularly football which is the most popular game in the world. This comes in line with our official sponsorship of 2010 FIFA World Cup, and marking the launch of Discover Syria Rally 2010, to highlight the importance of sport in the lives of individuals and encourage everyone to exercise and play more sports."
MTN runs the annual initiative 21 days of Y`ello care!, which is one of the most important community support programmes as it highlights the most important issues related to society and MTN`s contribution by providing assistance and support out of its believing in the important role of the private sector and its responsibility towards the community.
