MTN Fan Parks to Display FIFA World Cup Matches for Free
| MTN Syria finished all preparations for the 2010 FIFA World Cup before the opening ceremony, which will take place on June 11th 2010, by transforming many locations in Damascus, Aleppo, Homs and Latakia to be MTN parks in order to enable all football fans to watch the matches for free, and in an interactive manner which is considered the first of its kind in Syria and the championship history. |

MTN initiative comes from being the official sponsor of 2010 FIFA World Cup which takes place in South Africa for the first time, where the football lovers will gather sharing excitement and zeal in MTN playgrounds which are equipped with the highest tech of sound and lighting system, in addition to the enthusiastic atmosphere.
Mr. Ziad Sabah, MTN Syria’s Marketing Director, said: “Today, we and the whole world are waiting the most important sports event that brings the whole world on one land, South Africa. For this, we gather the football fans enabling them watching their favorite matches with their friends in unique enthusiastic atmosphere.”
He added: “Through official sponsoring 2010 FIFA world cup, MTN aims to fulfill its participant’s request, by enabling them to watch their matches for free all over Syria. Thus, MTN shares truly the excitement with its clients, attending the most important matches.”
Football fans can watch the matches in any of MTN’s parks which are located in very good areas, such as in Damascus old fair ground, Al Jahez park, Al Jundi al Majhoul square, Al Tala’e park in Mezzah, Al Zahera Park and Ski land in Damascus. Also in Saad Alla Al Jaberi square, Shahbaa mall and Aleppo citadel in Aleppo, Al Awqaf square in Latakia and Al Mahata square in Homs.
