MTN "Join the Team" 2009 is an impactful way of reaching out to the youth in Syria, who formulate 70% of the population
They had a dream: To become part of a major football team; whether it is local teams, the Syrian National team, or International Football. Today MTN made it real.
All prepaid and postpaid MTN subscribers that were passionate about football and were between the age of 18 and 28 had the chance to make it real.
All prepaid and postpaid MTN subscribers who aspired to play a role in MTN's "Join the Team" competition; became active team members or encouraging fans.
A raffle draw took place, whereby 200 name players from each Syrian region were chosen. This has marked the MTN creation of a Syrian sports SPIRIT
Today, MTN made a dream come true to 22 football players, from all over Syria. They were football watchers, but today they are real athletic.
